About
Lawrence,
through and through.
I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas — surrounded by KU's amazing band energy on one side and a family of genuinely excellent musicians on the other. That combination is most of why I became one myself.
Today, I'm a senior music education major at the University of Kansas, currently studying under Dr. David Earll and previously under Scott Watson. Euphonium is my main instrument, but I am proficient in tuba and trombone as well. I also teach at Lawrence Montessori School, working with kids ages 2-4. Outside the classroom, I write and arrange music for low brass — there's no better feeling than bringing out new colors and textures in instruments that are often overlooked.

A lesson with me isn't a lecture — it's a collaboration. We work side by side to find the most musical, most effective version of whatever you're playing, whether that's an etude, an audition excerpt, or something you wrote yourself. My goal every session is the same: leave with music that's better than when we started.

I teach in Lawrence and around northeast Kansas. If you're nearby, we'll find a spot — and a schedule — that works for you.
